LaShea C. Borden, Of Counsel, joined the Law Office of Denise Brown in October 2006. LaShea has experience in the areas of Tax, Probate, Bankruptcy (Chapters 7, 11, and 13), Creditors' Rights, and Collections. Upon matriculation from law school, LaShea worked as a Tax Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP where she focused on clients ranging from individuals to corporations and handled IRS examinations, business formations, tax exemption filings, provided tax consultative advice, and compliance review of tax returns. LaShea also worked as an associate attorney for a prominent creditors' rights firm (Top 25 nationally ranked) located in Louisville. During her tenure there, her focus was on consumer collections and consumer bankruptcies. In addition LaShea temporarily departed the practice of law and worked for a large, Fortune 500 company, Merrill Lynch, as a Financial Advisor in the Private Client Group.
LaShea received her KY bar license in 2002 and practices as a solo practitioner in the focus areas of consumer law, family law, business law, and probate matters.
She is focused in growing her practice and the firm's preeminent position in the areas of Family, Bankruptcy, and Business law.
